What is MeGo.in? MeGo.in is a Travel Portal for Budget Travellers and backpackers exploring India on a shoestring. As a budget traveller using MeGo’s service, you get cheaper deals from Budget Hotels preferred by backpackers in destinations across India. What are Direct to HotelTM online bookings? Hotels can log-in to MeGo and manage their room availability on their own. Hence any booking one makes on MeGo is Direct to Hotel. We call this service Direct to HotelTM Online Bookings. It sounds cooler that way ;-) How do I pay on MeGo? We accept online payments of all international Master & Visa Credit cards. Are my credit card details safe? MeGo accepts credit card payments securely over the internet using the industry standard SSL or “Secure Socket Layer” technology. You can even use the latest VBV and Mastercard Securecode facility. When is my credit card charged? When we receive your credit card information, we block your credit card for the cost of the reservation. This is only to ensure that funds are available if your reservation is confirmed. You are not charged unless and until your reservation is confirmed How is my Booking completed? Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a Booking Id. Your Booking details will also be sent via an email as well as an SMS on your mobile number. In the Booking email, you will receive the contact information of the Hotel too. How can I retrieve my Booking details? To retrieve your Booking details, you have to visit ‘my bookings’ section. Do I have to carry any ID Card or Credit card along with me to the Hotel? Yes. Two things: a. You have to carry a Govt issued ID Card. International Customers can use their passports. This will help the Hotel match your identity upon arrival with the ID number provided at the time of your Booking. b. You also need to carry the credit card used for payment. You can carry it in original or a photocopy of its front side. It will be matched with the Name of the card holder as provided at the time of Booking. How do I make a Booking for my children? Children policy varies with the Hotels. At the time of Booking, you can refer to Info & Reviews section to see if the Hotel offers any discounts for children. First you can book rooms and extra beds for yourself. Subsequently, you avail the discount by making additional payment for children directly upon arrival at the hotel. You can carry a print out of the Children policy from the Info and Reviews section of the Hotel. Can I book Extra beds? Yes. If you wish to book extra beds, you can choose them under the Double occupancy room selection. If I see no room available for a hotel, does that mean the Hotel is sold out? No. This may only mean that the inventory added by the Hotel on MeGo is sold out. You can check directly with the hotel for availability. How do I cancel my booking? What will be the cancellation policy? By sending a cancellation request under My Bookings section on the homepage. Cancellation policy varies with the hotel. You should check the cancellation policy using Hotel’s information. MeGo charges Rs 120 per room booked against all cancellations. Additionally the hotel charges as per its cancellation policy. There is also a 4% charge on the Total tariff towards Credit Card Transfer / Banking Processing Charges to transfer the refund balance to your credit card account. How will receive my cancellation refunds? We'll Credit back the balance cancellation refund to the same source you made the payment from E.g. if you paid using your credit card, we'll refund you back in your credit card account. Similarly for direct debits, cheques & electronic payments etc. |
