MeGo charges Accommodation providers and Guests for different services.

Accommodation providers

MeGo charges Accommodation providers for the following services.

1.       Annual Listing Fee:

When you list your accommodation, you avail the Listing service of MeGo. This is the first step to list your accommodation on MeGo. You are charged an annual Listing Fee of Rs. 500 and invoiced after your Listing request has been received.

MeGo reserves the right to provide some or all accommodations with discount(s) or complete waivers on this annual Listing fee.

2.       MeGoPay^TM Fee:

Hotels can receive credit card payments from Guests safely for their sale on www.MeGo.in instantly and safely using MeGoPay (facility to accept Credit Card payments).

Payments using Credit card offer a fast, easy, and secure way to accept online payments from Guests. This service eliminates the delay and hassle of conventional cheque / demand draft payments.

This is how it works for Bookings:

·        Guest pays MeGo total of advance against the tariff and Convenience Booking Fee

·        MeGoPay  deducts 4% on the advance tariff

·        Accommodation Provider bears the MeGoPay fee of 4% on the advance towards total Tariff amount. Remaining Amount is the “Balance tariff amount”

·        The Accommodation Provider is credited for the payment only after the Bank confirms the transaction

·        Our payment gateway partner supports Visa and MasterCard credit cards

·        MeGo consolidates all transactions and makes payment to Accommodation Provider through electronic transfer/ cheque / demand draft to each Accommodation Provider on a weekly basis

·        Tariff should be inclusive of all Taxes, service fee etc

EXAMPLES

1. Tariff = Rs 2,000 ; Number of Nights Booked = 2 ; Advance against tariff = 100%

Total Tariff = Rs 4000

Advance Tariff = Rs 4000

MeGoPay deducts @4 % on Advance Tariff = Rs. 160

Balance Tariff = Rs 4000 – 160 = Rs. 3840

Therefore Accommodation receives = Rs 3840

Tariff = Rs 2,000 ; Number of Nights Booked = 2 ; Advance against tariff = 50%

Total Tariff = Rs 4000

Advance Tariff = Rs 2000

MeGoPay deducts @4 % on Advance Tariff = Rs. 80

Balance Tariff = Rs 2000 – 80 = Rs. 1920

Therefore Accommodation receives = Rs 1920

Customer pays upon Arrival to Accommodation = Rs. 2000

If as an accommodation provider, you give MeGo your net rates (also called as net non-commissionable rates or special rates) which imply the amount you wish to receive, then you allow MEGO to mark up these rates by 4%  to cover for the 4% MeGoPay™ fee.

3.       Money Transfer charges

Bank can sometimes charge (with Service tax) for money transfer to the Accommodation provider’s bank account in cases where the Accommodation provider’s bank branch is in a location for which the bank charges a transaction or other fee to transfer money. This fee will be deducted while transferring Booking amount from MeGo to the Accommodation.

4.       Convenience Booking Fee

MeGo charges Accommodations a Convenience Booking Fee for every room booked in a single transaction. This Convenience Booking fee depends on the tariff of the room.

Convenience Booking Fee charges are visible in Bookings & MeGo Invoices available after you sign-in with your username and password. The existing Convenience booking fee structure is as follows:

Tariff:                                      Rs 2,000

Convenience Booking Fee:      Rs 80

MeGoPay fee:                         Rs 80

NOTE:

Guests

MeGo charges its Guests for Cancellations. Under no circumstance is this fee refundable. MeGo reserves the right to provide select Guests with discount(s) or complete waivers on any fee.

It's safe to provide your credit card information as Axis Bank’s payment gateway is SSL secured and MeGo stores only last 4 digits of your 16 digit credit number.

Cancellation Fee: In case you want MeGo to process cancellations on your behalf, MeGo charges as per the Service fee Policy, a fee of Rs 120 per room for such cases of cancellations. Additionally the Hotel charges as per the cancellation policy and there is also a Credit Card Transfer / Banking Processing Charge of 4% on the Total tariff amount. You will also be liable to pay for all expenses such as DD commissions or couriers that are realized to make money transfers to your Credit card account.

NOTE: MeGo reserves the right to change its Service Fee policy or offer it to Guests and Accommodations at different rates than published in Service Fee policy. These will be visible to guests in their booking and cancellation emails. These can be fixed individually with Accommodations and made visible under Hotel Booking Fee column of Bookings & MeGo Invoices available after they sign-in with their username and password.
